Coil Over Front Suspension

We don't use a donor car front suspension

Everything you see in this picture is brand new and standard on all our cars

4-wheel power disc brakes is standard equipment on all our cars

West Coast re-designed our own front suspension in 1991 with the goal to have the best road racing suspension available on any component car today. We use coil over shocks with the spring point being only 1" away from the ball joint. This gives you the best control possible by making the suspension more sensitive and the tires staying on the ground.

This shows the front suspension that was designed specifically for our car. It allows you to take advantage of the great handling it provides us. Using coil overs allows us to have the springs mounted further outboard (closer to the spindle) which gives us a lot more control over the handling. It also allow us to adjust the ride height.

We use new spindles. We manufacture our own upper & lower control arms. We designed the brackets mounted to the spindles to receive the HD brake calipers. We also use carbon metallic brake pads.

Brakes are very important to us. We wanted a brake system that was bearable to drive on the street (power brakes) and was capable to taking everything we could give it on the race track. We wanted to have the best brake system we (and customers) could come up with and have it as standard equipment for all our customers. We do not use a get by (donor car) brake system and then have you buy an optional brake system that cost hundreds of dollars more.

Our front suspension also is very forgiving to the driver. It allows you to comfortably take your hands off the steering wheel at speeds over 100 mph. and if by chance, you were to start loosing it, just take your hands off the steering wheel and it will correct itself. It wants to go where the wheels were pointed in the first place. It is designed to dominate in road racing and has proven itself many times over. We have many customers who (for fun) have competed in road racing events and they have proven that this suspension really does what we say.

All of this is installed for you in our kit. We even bleed the brakes for you!
