Our Rear Suspension is capable of taking over 1200 hp and high torque without any modifications

This is the 4-bar link suspension system we engineered out for our cars using the famous 9" Ford rear end.

Unlike most control arms that connects the rear end to the frame, we manufacture own Heavy Duty arms to be able to take the high hp some of our customers use. This is called a 4-bar link system where the control arms are criss-crossed to eliminate the need for a panard bar. By using this 4-bar link system, the body does not shift side to side.

The long length of the lower control arms shifts up to 20% of the weight to the rear when taking off to give you more traction and then transfers up to 20% of the weight to the front tires when heavy braking.

That gives you 60% of the weight on the rear tires taking off and 60% of the weight to the front tires when braking.

Optional Rear Coil Over Suspension

This is not a option we recommend because in testing there was very little difference in handling.

The main advantage is:

These are adjustable coil-overs so you can change the ride height just by turning the adjuster ring on the bottom.

Is an Independent Rear End better than solid axle?

There is a lot of people who will tell you that an independent rear is better. I have a problem with that. What they do not tell you is all the additional money you will have to spend on upgrading an independent rear end to take all the power that most Cobra replicas run today. The main problem is that most can not use a trailing arm from the frame back to the lower yoke. You have to rely on the yoke itself to take all the stress. I know several people who have spent $4000 - $6000 on upgrading their Jag rear end, including titanium half shafts, backing plates, housings and more. But you know what? They still broke, especially in drag racing when they tried to run slicks.

To top it off, they have not out handled a West Coast car!

West Coast supplies a full 9" Ford 4 bar link rear end, capable of taking 800 hp without any modification. If you want to run more than 800 hp the only thing you need to change is use 31-spline pro-racing axles and this can be ordering in your kit to save money
