Jim chose to use a C-6 Automatic trans & Torque Converter from TCI. We used a B&M Mega Shifter. These were purchased thru Summit Racing.

We then mounted the Torque Converter & Trans to the Motor at this time and then....

The first thing we did was change the supplied intake to a polished Torker II one.Then we did all the motor prep work and installed everything from plug wires to Aluminum Pully's, P/S pump, Alternator, Fan belts, Carb, Gauge sending units, S/S fittings, and all the little odds & ends. In other words, we had the motor & trans completly finished before we installed it in the chassis as you can see in the following pictures.
